1. Terms of Service

By hiring Snoot Web Design, you agree to the following terms regarding project acceptance, payments, and intellectual property.

Quote Validity: All quotes provided are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

Content Responsibility: The client is responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to use all text and images they provide to us. Snoot Web Design is not liable for any copyright infringement caused by content supplied by the client.

Payment & Ownership

  • Deposits: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to commence work.
  • Final Payment: The remaining 50% is due upon completion, before the website goes live.
  • Client Ownership: Upon full payment, you own the website design, code, and content 100%.
  • Portfolio Rights: We retain the right to display your project in our portfolio.

2. Hosting & Cancellation Policy

We believe in earning your business every month. There are no long-term contracts for our monthly hosting and maintenance services.

Cancellation Procedure

You may cancel your monthly service at any time by giving 7 days' written notice via email. If cancelled, your website will be taken offline at the end of the current billing cycle.

Moving Your Website

If you wish to move to another host, we will assist you.

  • We provide a ZIP file of your public_html and SQL database (if applicable).
  • A standard £50 admin fee applies for packaging files and releasing domains.
  • Once files are transferred, we are no longer responsible for the site's security, updates, or uptime.

3. Return & Refund Policy

Due to the bespoke nature of digital design and server time, our refund policies are as follows:

  • Deposits: The 50% project deposit is non-refundable (covers initial planning, setup & design time).
  • Completed Work: No refunds are issued for websites that have been signed off and launched.
  • Hosting Fees: Monthly fees are paid in advance. No pro-rata refunds are given for partial months used.

4. Privacy Policy (UK GDPR)

We respect your privacy and only collect data necessary to run your business and keep your website online. We operate in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

We never sell your personal data. We only share it with trusted processors like Stripe / PayPal (for payments) and our Server Host (to keep your site live).

  • Name, Business Name, and Contact Details
  • Billing and Invoicing Information
  • Login credentials (if provided by you for existing accounts)

5. Limitation of Liability

Snoot Web Design acts as a technical facilitator for your web presence. We strictly limit our liability regarding technology failures.

Indemnity

We are not liable for direct, indirect, or consequential loss (including loss of profit or business interruption) arising from server downtime, third-party hacks, or software updates. While we perform backups, clients are encouraged to keep their own copies of critical data.
